Ozzy Osbourne - (Coming Home Documentary)

The documentary features footage of the Osbourne family filmed over three years prior to Ozzy Osbourne's death in July 2025.

This intimate film, shot over three years with Ozzy Osbourne, his wife Sharon and their children Kelly and Jack, as well as their close friends, follows the final chapter of Ozzy’s life. After 25 years living in LA, he and Sharon decide the time has come to return home to the English country house in Buckinghamshire where they once brought up their family. But before he retires completely, he’s also determined to perform one last time for his army of fans.

Ozzy and Sharon face a monumental battle. As well as a diagnosis of Parkinson’s, Ozzy has had a succession of back surgeries following a fall, which have left him in extreme pain, frequently struggling to walk. So, that means lots more time spent at home surrounded by a growing army of grandchildren, as well as his pack of dogs, all 11 of whom get to share Sharon and Ozzy’s bed. For a man who has always questioned why go out at all when you have a house, this isn’t all bad.

The resulting film is a moving portrait of one of the world’s most entertaining families at a pivotal moment in their history. The strength of Ozzy and Sharon’s love for one another and their kids’ devotion to them is palpable. So too is the family’s acceptance of Ozzy becoming increasingly unwell. As Kelly poignantly puts it, the iron man isn’t made of iron.

But for all that, rock’s great survivor isn’t quite done yet. Ahead of retirement, Ozzy is determined to perform one last time, for himself and for his fans. Whatever it takes.

Pulling off both the move and the gig will be a phenomenal achievement, and son Jack is worried about the toll of relocating to a country that his parents have barely spent time in over the last two decades, as well as the impact on their close-knit family dynamics. But Ozzy has never been a man to take no for an answer, and he sets about achieving his goals with the determination, blistering honesty and razor-sharp sense of humour that have endeared him to millions for over 50 years. He stops at nothing to make his body work as well as it used to, with the film capturing remarkable levels of resolve.

Ozzy’s death, just two weeks after a final, triumphant, homecoming gig, is met with shock and grief around the world. Thousands of fans gather to watch his funeral cortege in his home town of Birmingham as it is live-streamed to viewers across the globe. The extraordinary impact of this working-class hero cannot be more apparent.

The film is a candid and moving portrait of Birmingham’s favourite son, and of the family that adore and support him through his last performance and the final chapter of his life.

Ozzy Osbourne fans will be able to say goodbye to the heavy metal pioneer at a procession for his cortege through his home city of Birmingham tomorrow.

The star's hearse will make its way down Broad Street towards the Black Sabbath bridge and bench - where thousands of fans have left flowers, messages and other tributes since his death.

Osbourne, 76, died less than three weeks after performing his "final bow" in the city - the Back The Beginning reunion with his Sabbath bandmates at Villa Park, which raised about £140m for charity.

„Doro – The Queen of Metal“ zeigt die Hardrocksängerin Doro Pesch, die sich treu geblieben ist und es schafft, sich im rauen Metal-Genre zu behaupten, um es mit Doros positiven und mitreißenden Art zu bereichern – und das seit fast 40 Jahren.
Doro Pesch ist dabei ein Beweis dafür, dass es möglich ist, vorbestimmten Lebenslinien zu entkommen und einen Traum zu leben, der Vorbildfunktion, Ermutigung, Role Model und Kult zugleich ist. Als sich in den frühen Achtzigern, als Doro eine junge Frau war, der Heavy Metal aus dem Underground in die Charts rockt, sind die Geschlechterrollen klar verteilt: Langhaarige Jungs auf und vor den Bühnen strecken ihre Fäuste in die Höhe, während weibliche Metal-Fans wie Doro am Rande des Geschehens zuschauen. Nur wenige Frauen wagen sich damals zu harten Gitarren-Riffs in das Scheinwerferlicht, so aber schließlich auch Doro.
Die aus Düsseldorf stammende Doro Pesch ist seit damals eine Ausnahmeerscheinung in der von Männern dominierten Welt des Heavy Metals. Doro ist ein Energiebündel und eine Powerfrau und nicht nur für Fans die wahre „Queen of Metal“: Doro hat mit Lemmy von Motörhead Songs geschrieben, mit Klaus Meine von den Scorpions im Duett gesungen und ebnet Bands aus der Region wie BLIND GUARDIAN den Weg in die internationale Heavy Metal Szene und Doro selbst rockt regelmäßig das Wacken-Festival vor 80.000 Fans. Doro Pesch lebt in den USA und Düsseldorf und hat in ihrer Karriere Gold und Platin-Auszeichnungen für über 10 Millionen verkaufte Tonträger erhalten. Über 2.800 Live-Auftritte auf vier Kontinenten in 60 Ländern der Erde, 21 Alben und unzählige Titelbilder auf allen relevanten Musik-Magazinen belegen die Karriere von Doro. Ein Film von Noel Auch.

Vom 30.01.2019 - 29.05.2019 wurde der Film "Udo Dirkschneider - ein Porträt" im Rahmen der Bachelor-Thesis von Noel produziert. Die Konzerte von U.D.O. in Heidelberg, Stuttgart, Memmingen, Bochum und Nürnberg im Februar 2019 waren die Drehtage. Das Interview mit Matthias Mineur fand in der Turbinenhalle in Oberhausen statt.

"Das Ziel meines Porträts ist es, Udo Dirkschneider so vorzustellen, wie ich ihn erlebt und kennengelernt habe und wie er auf seine Fans und Mitarbeiter wirkt. Mein Ziel war es, dies sowohl auf dokumentarische als auch auf künstlerische Weise herauszustellen.

Charakterzüge von Udo sollen für die Zuschauer erkennbar werden. Die Alleinstellungsmerkmale und Besonderheiten seiner Person mussten im Vordergrund stehen. Wichtig war, nicht nur die Fakten und die wesentlichen Punkte des Lebenslaufs abzuarbeiten."

Die Idee, eine Dokumentation über Ian "Lemmy" Kilmister zu drehen, lag auf der Hand. Denn der Motörhead-Chef entwickelte sich in den vergangenen Jahrzehnten zur Ikone, deren Strahlkraft weit über die Heavy-Gemeinde hinausreicht und mit der sich selbst das Feuilleton beschäftigt. 2006 begannen die Regisseure Greg Olliver, der schon für Joan Jett, Snoop Dogg, Carmen Electra und Burning Spear gearbeitet hat, und Wes Orshoski, der vor allem als Musikjournalist und Fotograph tätig war, mit den Aufnahmen zu "Lemmy - The Movie".
