“Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is” came from a writing session between Robert and Henry, which began with Henry bringing in the heavy riff and the song’s main chorus line. For the lyrics, we ran with the idea of what those words meant to us. We were thinking about how people can promise things in life, but often their actions don’t line up with their words. You can talk a big talk but what you do is always going to matter more.
The result is a heavy, riff based anthem full of attitude, inspired by gritty ‘90s grunge rock.
